Wednesday - Friday 10am - 4pm
During the course you will become knowledgeable in preparing ‘gesso’, and laying and burnishing gold leaf.
You will master the art of both traditional water gilding and the more simple technique of oil gilding as well as learning how to distress and tone your work.
We provide a beautifully made frame for you to work on and take home.
Freshly prepared lunch and afternoon tea included every day.
The Gilding Course fee includes one book of loose Gold Leaf for the student to practice laying during the course, as well as half a book to use for the frame taken home. We also include some Transfer Gold to learn Oil Gilding. If a student requires more Gold Leaf for extra practice, it can be purchased for £30 Per book.
As with all our courses, no prior experience is necessary.
